APDRA is a non-profit association, created in 1996, that is recognised publicly for its good work. It supports the expansion of fish farming in countries in the South and it raises awareness of stakeholders in the North towards the main issues linked to rural development.
APDRA is a development organisation that defines, actions and evaluates integrated aquaculture systems with the aims of :
Strengthening food security by contributing to food self-sufficiency
Setting up a cost-effective economic activity
Reinforcing farmers’ organisations that are representative of the rural world
APDRA builds upon a multidisciplinary team, both in France and abroad, made of staff, volunteers, technicians, local partners and a network of French fish farmers, whose knowledge and skills include :

Training
Research and development
Thanks to its operational team and its regional branches in France (Basse Normandie, Lorraine, Pays de la Loire, Aquitaine and Centre), APDRA is currently leading several projects in Benin, Cameroon, Madagascar, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia and Central African Republic.
