    ESSOR is an NGO created in 1992 with the aim of helping the most deprived populations in acquiring the necessary means to improve their living conditions in a sustainable way.

    Its mission is to facilitate the appropriation of the local development process by the populations themselves. ESSOR currently carries out more than 15 projects in Brazil, Mozambique, Cape Verde Islands, Chad and soon Guinee-Bissau. These projects aim to meet the most vital needs of the urban and rural population by providing access to basic services (water, education, professional training, employment, etc…). They use an integrated multi-stakeholder approach, involving communities, civil society, private and public stakeholders.
