Since 1969, GRDR has supported the dynamics of development resulting from migration. Its approach is to consider global stakes of migration within two zones : Africa and France. GRDR works, by giving value to France and Africa and their migratory evolutions, to ensure a coherent development of citizenship within these two zones. In their countries of origin (Malia, Mauritania and Senegal), GRDR works with local government authorities, technical departments of the public authorities, municipalities and the stakeholders of civil society. The aim is to promote self management of decision-making and local actions. On this basis, GRDR also implements economic sector support programs. In France, GRDR closely follows individual and collective dynamics of migrants, in particular their social and economical integration in their new municipalities. It improves the migrants’ issues of citizenship involvement in France and in their country of origin by promoting decentralised cooperation.
