Created in 1989, HSF is a non-governmental development organisation. Its objective is to support development projects set by partners of developing countries. HSF plays mainly a role of technical advice and follow-up of the projects in the field of hydraulic :
Drinking water supply : feasibility studies, design and support for the implementation of drinking water supply networks ; training to maintenance of the works ; setting up local committees to manage the hydraulic installations
Irrigation : Implementation and rehabilitation of dams and their irrigated areas allowing to produce crops in dry seasons ; replenishing ground water ; building of anti-erosive barriers
Hydro-electricity : Feasibility studies ; consultancy
Training : technical training programmes for local communities ; vocational training ; conferences in schools and universities
HSF is active in Africa, Asia and South America. Projects are systematically undertaken in partnership with local organisations. These programs are carried out in close association with a large range of partners : local government authorities, NGO from developed countries, international organisations, consultancy firms.
