In order to support the civil society in developing countries, all the stakeholders involved must define new long-term alliances and partnership strategies. Their development has to be funded on mutual respect, on complementary interests and skills, and on shared responsibilities. These kinds of partnerships are proof of an effort to develop and implement development projects. They allow for collective activities, in the North and in the South in order to defend "globalisation on a human level". Through a collective thought process on partnership experiences of Cicda and VSF, this text attempts to propose few ideas on the stakes involved and on ways to build partnerships, symbols of a genuine co-operation.
